Franciscan Fraternity of Hope

Community

The brothers and sisters of the Franciscan Fraternity of Hope are men and women who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ in the spirit of Saint Francis and Saint Clare. Their vocation is born from a deep desire to live the Gospel with simplicity, humility, and joy, becoming a sign of hope for those who seek light in the midst of human fragility.

Their offering to God is expressed through a life of prayer, community, and service. They embrace a simple, free, and trusting way of life that helps them walk with hearts open and available to God’s will. Obedience, lived in the Franciscan tradition, is for them a path of mutual listening, communal discernment, and fraternal communion—never a relationship of domination, but an act of faith and trust that helps them walk together.

Community is the home where they grow and support one another. In shared prayer, at the common table, in simple work, and in daily mission, they discover that God reveals Himself in what is small and that fraternal life is a path of ongoing conversion. Each person brings their own gifts and story, and together they build a space where peace, welcome, and hope can be breathed.

Formation is a gradual process that integrates spiritual life, study, and community experience. The first steps in the fraternity are times of discernment and inner growth, where one learns to live this path with maturity, freedom, and depth. Formation continues throughout life, because vocation is a gift that is renewed each day.

Their mission always springs from prayer. Some offer spiritual accompaniment, others serve in hospitality, others dedicate themselves to teaching or to a contemplative presence. What matters is not the task they perform, but the attitude with which they carry it out: a humble, available, hope-filled heart. In every gesture, even the simplest, they seek to reflect the tenderness of God.

The vocation of a sister or brother is a luminous gift. It is not defined by what they do, but by who they are: persons given to God, sustained by community, and open to the action of the Spirit. Their quiet presence supports the fraternity, nourishes prayer, and opens paths of peace. Their life, hidden in God, becomes a witness that touches hearts and awakens in many the desire to draw closer to the Gospel.

Whoever feels the call to this way of life discovers within a deep desire to give themselves to God without reserve. It is not about perfection, but about availability; not about strength, but about trust. Vocation is born when someone dares to believe that God can do something beautiful with their life, and it is confirmed when they find in the fraternity a home where they can grow, serve, and love.

The sisters and brothers of the Franciscan Fraternity of Hope are, above all, people of God. Their life is a silent song of hope, a humble presence that sustains, a light that accompanies, and a seed that God makes grow in the heart of the world.
